Jay: 小朋友 你是否有很多問號 為什麼?
“Mommy, mommy… Do I have to say goodbye?” Little Johnny woke up early this morning to put on his latest Nike Free Run+ shoes, the lightweight wings to put on if he really wanted to fly. He pushed aside his usual stability shoes, because today, he felt like a speedy master of his heart.
“No, you don’t have to, we’ll meet again if you don’t run back home today, Johnny. Always remember that you are going to be Superman someday! Now off you go!” Her words came out slowly enough for Little Johnny to absorb her message. He stared at the blank wall behind the kitchen counter right at the back of his mommy’s head, and he drew upon there a hindsight beyond human understanding – now he understood the inner-workings of adjusting his own internal clock. It’s all about pacing. Jay Chou’s voice began playing again in his head like a sudden gunfire shot at a distance.
“Mommy, mommy… Do i have to Supercharge my batteries before I go?” He pointed at his own eyes and ears, signaling his mom on his deepest concerns about his future energy management, his energy economy in the long run, and his ultimate endurance to go through the ups and downs of his life he’s already living in, and shall continue at a steady pace.
“Of course not,” said his mom gently.
“But, but… Why not?”
Jay: 長大後我開始明白 為什麼我跑的比別人快 飛的比別人高
“You DON’T have-to, my dear,” said Mommy. “You DO be-do-have.
Now remember what the hidden tribe of superathletes do as Christopher McDoughall has taught us during our journey together as a family, Johnny. The toughest guys were the gentlest; battered legs were the bounciest; the healthiest people had the crappiest diet; the illiterate race was the wisest; the guys working the hardest were having the most fun… So just have fun like all runners do!”
Little Johnny didn’t have to hold on a millisecond before he bolted out of the door along with his heart, flying without wings.
Jay: 但我建議你最好寫 媽媽我會用功讀書
